Hi, my name is Alejandra Guerrero or Ale for short.
I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, class of ’17, WHOOP!
At A&M, I received my BS in Biomedical Sciences while enjoying my time as part of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band and Parson’s Mounted Cavalry. I continued my education at the University of Texas at Arlington for my MBA and finished off at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) with my Doctor of Medicine.
Some of my favorite hobbies, such as hiking and backpacking, introduced me to Wilderness First Aid. This sparked my pursuit to learn more about Emergency Medicine and I ended up as an ER Medical Scribe and EMT. Along the winding road, I was also blessed with a number of international experiences that fired up my interest in cultural appreciation and medical differences around the world. These days, I’m studying for my STEPs with Emergency Medicine still in mind, further exploring Global Health and writing my way through medicine & through life.
Life’s gotten fuller, too – I got married, had my first baby, and I’m figuring out how to hold onto all these threads (medicine, writing, motherhood)
In my free time, If i’m not off exploring a land far, far away (traveling the world, I mean), you can find me at home where I absolutely love caring for my furry family and soak up the newborn life. While I hang out with the fam, I also love to cook and read.
